Team Aurora has a new blog post!
Happy Friday!
Monday schedule
Tuesday schedule
We start a new LA/Social Studies unit on Monday. We will research a social issue by reading several articles and writing a short constructed response.
Today was the National History Day awards ceremony. The big winners were Mrs. Thompson as teacher extraordinaire winning the Shelburne Museum Award. Abe won first place in his category of single performance and Haley won first place for historical paper. Annie also won a special women's history award for her paper on suffragettes. Although our other fabulous group of Alcatraz escapees did not win due to the abundance of competition, they had a fabulous performance that they worked on very cooperatively. Congratulations to all. This was an extraordinary exercise in perseverance and the love of history (and competition.) Well done contestants.
Have a great weekend.
Song of the day.
